John Corbin

John was my first college instructor ever (around 2008). He was awesome! His stories of Isle Royale and kayaking were always so fun! I am grateful to have known him.

I had the pleasure of meeting John on Isle Royale. John was on the ferry from Grand Portage, MN as was my girlfriend Tricia. As one does on the long ferry ride, John and Tricia were talking about their trip. I was meeting Tricia in Rock Harbor and and we were going to Malone Bay. John was also heading to Malone Bay. John left his mark on KVCC. He was an amazing teacher and a great colleague. Blessings to his family.

John was both a colleague and friend. The most memorable times we had were on our numerous trips to Isle Royale. This is one of my favorite photos I took of John at Daisy Farm on Isle Royale after a day of paddling. RIP John.

John was an honorable man who made a positive difference in the lives of his KVCC students and fellow employees. It was a pleasure knowing John.

I knew John at KVCC and found him a dedicated teacher with a passion to help students be successful. He went the extra mile for students and was extremely well liked by students and staff. RIP John.
