Not sure what to say?

Dear Carmel and family, My sincere sympathy on the loss of Jack. I remember (and have a few pictures) of you both attending our St. Patties party years ago. Keeping you in my heart and thoughts this Christmas especially. Much love Dr. Davy, Lisa Stendel

My heart is very sad to think of a world without Dr. Davy in it. He was my Dr. from his first few months in his own practice until his last day in office when he was so happy and excited to be leaving to reunite with his wife and together look forward to the birth of his first grandchild. I was living in Portland,Maine at the beging, then kept him as my Dr.after marring and moving to Hampton,NH.He was a wonderful Dr. beyond words, and I have missed him.My heart goes out to all his...

My sincere condolences on the loss of Jack, of whom I have fond memories. He did, indeed, relate well to everyone, not just his patients, but to his fellow physicians, as well. His opinions and observations were always highly regarded.

I was one of many nurses who loved and respected Dr Davy. He was always so thoughtful and caring to all of us who worked with him. I will miss him. Jeanne Patry, RN

I can hardly believe I am writing in a guest book to remember Jack after his death. I cannot comprehend that I will never see him again or hear his voice or see that crooked smile. I was so looking forward to Jack and Carmel's return to Maine in the spring. This is the end of an era and the end of our 35 year friendship. I am flooded with memories. Thanks for mentioning the apricots, Debbie, I had forgotten about them. Jack had a loving and generous heart. He was interesting and...

We are so sorry for your loss. We will miss Dr. Davy. You and your family are in our prayers.

I had the best job ever fresh out of college working with JRD at Park Medical Building. He was a well respected physician, taught me great work ethics, and I loved his sense of humor. I'll always remember his stories, those office Xmas parties, and his apricots and delicious cheese that were tradition. We shared a passion of downhill skiing (think this helped get me hired!) and he was a true role model that will be missed. My sympathies to his family for this heartbreaking loss.

I worked with Dr. Davy or, JRD as we called him, at Portland Internal Medicine. He was a leader, a stable presence, a mentor and the object of deep affection and devotion from patients and staff alike. I remember two things in particular: first, the man would eat anything (what's a little mold) and second- Friday afternoon trips to the airport. During the time when he was making regular trips to Grand Rapids I would sometimes give him a lift to the airport. Let's just say he was relaxed...

Practice partner, mentor, and friend. Jack was unfailingly generous and thoughtful. He will be impossible to forget
