Not sure what to say?

Words cannot express the sense of loss I feel in our loss of this godly man. His intellect, faith, charm, culinary skills, and love for others were truly traits that I wanted to emulate. May God rest his memory, and provide comfort and strength with his family.

I was in one of Professor Dix's classes back in the early 70's. He was a great teacher and set the example for being Christ-like. My condolences to his family.

John was a very kind and thoughtful neighbor. To Kathy, Chuck and grand children, we miss all of you. Pat Hill and Wendell Tipton.

"Even though I walk through the valley of death, I fear no evil, for you are with me." ps 23
We have known John for more than 35 years. He was a good and loving man and he will be missed. John most certainly walks with the Lord. Love and Prayers to all who loved him.

My Great Uncle John was the rock of our family. If you had a problem Uncle John was there with the solution. He was truly God's chosen angel on earth.
When we were in Nashville we shared a meal and his wonderful canned preserves, but more important we shared memories that will never fade away. My Uncle John will never know the lives he touched and the difference he made in this world, but we certainly do. You gave us hope when we thought there was none. My Uncle John truly made this...

John was a wonderful man and will be dearly missed. He had a special way of touching you with his winning smile and warming heart. I am truly blessed to have been fortunate enough to have him in my life. Many prayers for his loving family!~

Dr. Dix was my professor and my parents professor at Trevecca. He officiated the wedding of my aunt and uncle at Donelson Church. He was such a great man full of knowledge and kindness.
