Not sure what to say?

I just learned of John's passing and I am shocked and deeply saddened. John was a great man, who cared about those around him. I'm sorry for his family and especially his children. My thoughts are with you.

I am John's law classmate from Mississippi. I just saw the announcement of his passing (8/24/09) as I was looking for his # to invite him to lunch when I visit SLC in September. John was a great guy. What was cause of death if you don't mind? My email is "[email protected]" Thank you, Tom Dunbar Jackson, MS

A fine, friendly and gracious John Donahue, was who I met back in year the 2001, when his brother Matt and I visited Salt Lake City. It is unreal that he is gone now! May the beautiful memory of him stay with his friends, family and his two beautiful sons. May he rest in peace with angels guarding by his side.

I was a former client and friend of John's; he helped me after his dear friend and colleague Gordon Jensen passed away. I would run into John occasionally over the past several years and he never forgot me. He was so kind and gracious, I always thought very highly of him. He was a wonderful attorney who showed genuine compassion for his clients and a stand-up guy. I will miss him dearly.

The date and time of the memorial service for John takes place in Salt Lake City on Saturday, July 11, at 3pm at Red Butte Garden of the University of Utah. We are going to dedicate a tree there in his name. We will have a burial for him in Maumee, Ohio in April 2010. I will post that information here when we have decided on that.

Hello there, this is John's brother Matt, it is very kind of you folks to write such kind messages and rememberances of my brother John. It is great to see the love and support that he had from so many people. These kind words of love and support will surely help to put his soul in a peaceful place. Know that my family and I truly appreciate it.
take care

I met John when he was in law school. Those were the days! I enjoyed knowing him. We lost touch. too many years. I googled him today out of the blue. What a sad realization that he is gone. I offer my sympathy and condolences to his loved ones. I loved him too.

Family and Friends,
My thoughts and prayers are with you as you grieve the loss of such a fine man. I was happy to call him friend during his years at Weber State, and what a joy he was to be around. I hadn't thought about him in years when I started searching today. My heart is saddened but I feel honored to have known him.
