Not sure what to say?

I was saddened to hear about Johns passing. We were friends in high school. I watched many a wrestling match that he participated in, and often won.
We would also sit outside the McQuaid gym listening to the bands that were playing for many of the dances and talk the whole time.
I will always remember his smile and his kindness.

Patti, Keenan and family,

I looked forward every year to working with John and you on the Hengel program and was honored he asked me. He was a real joy to know and I am deeply sorrowed by his passing. Heaven has a new joy to converse with for sure. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Patti,

Rick and I were so saddened to hear about John's passing. He was our first lawyer in Binghamton and his sense of humor and kindness will be missed.

Sincerest sympathies,

My sincere sympathy for the passing of such a remarkable man, husband, grandfather, friend, lawyer, counselor and man of God. May His spirit of love, light, peace, and joy surround you with His peace.

Even tho John was a young man at the time (1992) he gave us the BEST suggestion for workman's comp. Very sorry for your loss

Johnny Dowd grew up on the same street as the Spingers...Rhinecliff Drive. He was my gramar school and high school neighbor and friend! He had a heart as big as all outdoors! I remember one year at a McQuaid reunion we were having dinner at Oak Hill C.C. and I made a point of complimenting his snazzy golf themed necktie. Not two weeks went by and I received the identical gift wrapped tie from Binghamton! That was Johnny of the great ones! God's speed John, you will be sorely...

We are very sorry for you and your family's loss. John will be missed by many.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Patti and Keenan, I was so surprised when I looked at the press website only to find Johns obituary. I am living at an assisted living facility in Canandaigua after having back surgery and a bout with sepsis which left me unable to walk.
When I think of our time at St. Catherines, your family always comes to mind. Those were happy days with John and Keenan and Johns sense of humor.
Knowing his Irish sense of humor and the Catholic faith instilled by his family and the Catholic...
