John R. (Bobby) Dugger, 91, of Valdosta died Saturday, December 18, 2010 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born in Valdosta on October 11, 1919 to the late Leonard and Myrtice Carruthers Dugger and was a lifelong resident of Valdosta. Mr. Dugger was a charter member of Crossroads Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Navy having served in World War II. He was an retired exterminator with Orkin and Astro Pest Control, enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. Mr. Dugger will be remembered for his sweet personality and for living a full and real Christian life. Survivors include his three daughters and one son in law, Diane and Carl Bonar of Morristown, NJ., Beth Herrin of Brunswick, Julia Dugger of Valdosta, three sons and one daughter in law, Tommy and Janet Dugger of Brevard, NC., Jimmy Dugger of St. Augustine, Fla. and Glenn Dugger of Princeton, MA., five grandchildren, Suzanne Dugger Brown and her husband, Robert, Lt. Cmdr. Chad Krug, James Dugger and his wife, Linda, Jessica Dugger Heilmann and her husband, Lance, and Brittany Dugger, five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Willard Parrish Dugger, a brother, Curtis L. Dugger and a sister, Amorette Campbell. Funeral services will be held at 11am, Tuesday, December 21, 2010 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Dr. Ken Alford and Rev. Charlie Scarbrough officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
