Not sure what to say?

I am sorry I just heard the news and wished I could have paid my respects. Mr Dupre was my principal at Rushmore Elementary. he became friends with my father, Dan Smith, because they did enjoy swapping stories (the funnier the better). He is someone I will always remember and he made quite an impression on me growing up, he was a wonderful, kind, fair leader.

We are going to miss our trips to Gatlinnburg and Amish country. We will miss our Euchre and Pinochle games. We will miss going to "hole-in-the-wall" restaurants because you said that's where the good food was. You leave a big hole in our hearts, John. No more pain and we're happy about that
We are thinking of and praying for you and your family,Sharon.
Love, Bob & Missy Hunt

I just got to really know you, but you were a good man I could tell. I hope your family is held in the bosom of the gods and one can help your wife heal. I know your pain in the end for we are in the same boat rowing together to live one more day.

John will be greatly missed. He was both of my children's principal at Rushmore. They enjoyed their years with him.

I was a member of one of Mr. Dupre's first classes at Weller Elementary in Centerville. I remember him especially because he was my first male teacher and because he was so funny. My parents always reminded me that my love of math started in his classroom. While I never reconnected with him as an adult, it was because of him and other excellent teachers in Centerville, that I too became a teacher. My deepest sympathy to his family. Mr. Dupre's larger-than-life heart will always be...

Dear Sharon and Kristi,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you with the loss of John. He was a special person who cared about everyone else. It is not often that teachers, parents and students liked the principal as we liked John. Huber Heights City Schools lost two of their best this year--Page McCrum and John Dupre. Sorry we cannot be there. God bless! Love, Mike & Ruby Bonham

Very sorry for your loss. We will keep you and your entire family in our prayers through this difficult time.

It was with great sadness that I read the news of John's passing. He was a unique gentleman. It was a joy to have worked with him in HHCS. My son was blessed to have had him as his principal at Rushmore. John had a unique ability to make all who knew him feel special. I loved his sense of humor. We are remembering his family with heartfelt sympathy and prayers.

Thoughts and prayers to John's family. It was a pleasure to work for such a fine person. Thank you for sharing him with his HHCS family. I have fond memories of his funny yet sensitive wit .
