Johnny was another hero from the greatest generation to whom we all owe a great debt. Growing up across the street and being being close friends for almost 60 years was a privilege. I had the privilege of working with John when I was newly registered and newly married. He was kind beyond measure, honest, quick to laugh and he shared wonderful hints and knowledge. I will miss him and I will always remember him with great respect. He was a true gentleman. God bless Mrs.Ellison.

I met John over 23 years ago back when several of us hung around the clovis airport.We became very close and developted a freindship that was more father son like.John taught me more about live and values than any one I have ever know. HE TRULY was a gentelman and a scholar.I remember when John was in the the presance of a lady he would always remove his hat.
