I knew Mr. Farrington from about 1974 to 1981; My first job was at Fairmount Grocery, and he stopped in often. I later worked at Rayonier and ran into him periodically. In every encounter, he impressed me as one of the nicest, friendliest men I've ever met. He was the kind of man who left a strong, positive impression even after decades; my condolences to his loved ones on his passing.

As a small boy in Port Angeles in the mid 1950's I had the good fortune to live next door to the Farrington family. John Sr. had a big heart and always found room for one more kid to tag along with his family. My brother Brandy and I raced go karts with John Sr. and John Jr. (sorry David--you were just too young).
