My sincere condolences to you all. I will always remember John warmly. He was a kind and quirky friend, and I regarded him highly.

My lasting memory of John will always be his laugh. He was an inveterate laugher and could summon up a laugh as quickly as he could produce a smile. He could always find fun in anything and lived that way.
His pub crawls are a great example -where he would do extensive research (including the drinks no doubt) so that they worked like clockwork and maximised the fun.
No matter what it may have been, John would give it a go and his cv (in the vitae sense) must have been huge. ...

John was an inveterate laugher and I can still hear it. He always wanted the best for the world he lived in and for the people who shared it with him. He viewed this world, whether it was his family, the ABS, Worksafe or his Post Office very positively and made a lot of friends in the process. Where there was help needed, he was there.
