Not sure what to say?

I will always remember and appreciate John Googas as thoughtful and highly competent in his legislative capacity; while in the NYS Assembly, I was often guided by his intelligence and advice. -Douglas Prescott

John was one of the first neighboring Senate-office staffers I met when I went to work for Sen. Dale Volker. Sen. Padavan, Sen. LaValle, Sen. Goodhue and Sen Trunzo were all right in a row on the 8th floor of the LOB, so it was easy to get familiar with fellow staffers, and stay in touch as we all rose in Senate seniority and office rank. John was always great to deal with and easy to be with socially. I know he will be missed by his family and those of us from the 'good old days' of...

Melissa, Inky and I are sending you sincere, heartfelt love. There are no words to ease your sadness, but with the closeness of your loving family, sharing hugs and crying (even laughing with tears flowing) after talking about wonderful times you have had with your dad, your heart will be lighter. My dad passed away suddenly when I was 20 years old and I still have a huge hole in my heart that will never be filled. I was so, so close to my amazing father and I still miss him everyday. But,...

My dear Mary Pat, I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of your husband, John. Please know that I will be thinking and praying for you at this most difficult time.

My condolences to the Googas and Stackman families. He was a real gentleman and a great public servant.

To the best brother in-law ever. Your smiling face will be missed as will your words of wisdom. You came into my family when I was 14 years old. We both know that was a long time ago. I Love You Like Crazy!

John was a very special friend to Dean and myself for so many years. Your loss is so deep, but the memories of this wonderful man will be such a comfort to you in the future. We will make a donation to St. Sophia´s church where John made sure Dean and I were married in 1990.

We were neighbors of John's family a long time ago. I remember him as a very nice guy, always friendly. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Andrea - our deepest condolences to you and your family. Love - Dee & Jim Sausville and family
