John was one of the first neighboring Senate-office staffers I met when I went to work for Sen. Dale Volker. Sen. Padavan, Sen. LaValle, Sen. Goodhue and Sen Trunzo were all right in a row on the 8th floor of the LOB, so it was easy to get familiar with fellow staffers, and stay in touch as we all rose in Senate seniority and office rank.
