Just now hearing of your loss, I feel compelled to write, because of my gratitude for John's genius and generosity. I only met John recently as he applied his talents on my boat that I was told only John could do, and he did, at very little expense for his time and genius. I don't know whether you will get this or not but I had to try.
Leah sent me the obit. and from it I got to this site.
Advice columnists have said that one should never say: "I know exactly how you feel"; but since Becky, I think you can believe that I truly do.
I am sorry....as Leah told you, your marriage could make one believe in 'happily ever after' with two people.
I hope your faith sustains you and God takes care...

Dear Rita,
Gary and I were shocked and saddened when we heard of Johns passing. We met him in the 70's when he worked on our first boat and he continued to take care of all our boating repairs. He knew more about boats and engines then anyone we had ever met. He could fix anything, and with such ease. He was a remarkable man who will be greatly missed. He spoke so fondly of you and your boys and of the time he wanted to spend boating with you. It is just so hard to accept why bad things...
