Read MoreMany years have passed but my Uncle John will never be forgotten. Watching the WWII movie The Longest Day, brought memories of my dear Uncle and his loyal service as a paratrooper. I never realized he was awarded the purple heart but as a child I recall seeing the scar from his injury. He never complained but was always full of joy and love. May he rest in peace.

January 8, 2009 John was a good man! He and his wife Julie have been close friends of the family for as many years as I wish to remember. It always amazed me that he needed a walker during the last several years to walk, but he could still drive their car. He loved his wife and church very much. He was always willing to serve or help. He will be missed at family functions. May God Grant him Eternal Memory!
