Not sure what to say?

John:
My thoughts go out to you and your family for the loss of your father. He was always friendly and concerned about how my family and I were doing since we moved to Baltimore. I have also always admired his respect for the game of golf and his leadership in the Maryland Gold Association. His close friendship with so many people from so many walks of life is a tribute to the fine gentleman for which I will forever remember.

John:

I remember your Pop best from our football days at Gilman. He knew the game well and had a kind demeanor in his teachings.

He gave a lot of his time away from your family and his career to make us better players and help us foster a team attitude.

Anybody would be lucky to have had him for a father.

Carrie and I send our condolences to your entire family. Hope to see you guys in Jersey soon.

Fond regards,

Andy Rich

My most sincere condolences to a good friend who I saw almost daily at the Elkridge Club.

John was a great guy with whom I shared a lot of stories and had a great amount of fun. John was especially helpful to the Elkridge Club with his endless efforts on behalf of the golf course and its members. As president of the Club i will be forever indebted to him.

We have lost a wonderful gentleman who had a good sense of humor. I'll miss him.

Sincerely,

John...

I always thought of your father as a very kind and gentle man...

I consider myself fortunate to have met him as a coach and mentor back in high school...

May peace be with your family during this difficult time...

John & Family: I am saddened greatly by the death of your father.

Your Dad was a true gentleman full of immense character, a great sense of humor, kindness and respect for his friends and an immeasurable devotion to his family. I looked to your father as a great role model on how to be a man of true character in a world that seems to rate character somewhere behind money, property & prestige. We had some great times with your Dad playing football with the Ruxton Rhinos & at...

To the family of Carole and John Highfield, Your loss is great and I offer my deepest sympathies to you.
I pray that God will lift your spirits with the thought of your husband, father and grandfather in perfect peace in Heaven. With love, Cheryl McCarus
