Not sure what to say?

I knew "Mr. Hitchings" as one of my professors at Radford College. He was so talented and yet equally humble. I graduated in December, 1971, in Music and later returned (1980-ish)for graduate school. After all those years, during which I had married and had three children, he passed me in the hallway in Powell Hall and nonchalantly said, "Hi, Mary Lou!" and kept walking, as if no time had passed since we last met. I have run into him several times over the past few...

John was very knowledgeable about music and other subjects. I enjoyed our chamber music sessions, performances.and lively discussions.
Condolences to his family.I'll miss him.

Requiescas in pace. Alice Rubinstein

My condolences to John's family and friends. Over the years I've enjoyed playing chamber music with John and appreciated his deep knowledge about classical music. I will miss him.

May God's Peace be with you now and forever.

To all surviving family and friends of John, Pamela and I wish to pass on to our sympathies and condolences. John and all of you are in our minds, hearts and prayers.

Sincerely, Robert and Pamela Trent

John was a wonderful person and he enjoyed teaching and playing music. I knew him from Radford University and the Roanoke Symphony and enjoyed knowing him. Rest in peace - we will miss your music.
