Not sure what to say?

Even though over 20 years have passed, of me being in his class, I still remember Mr. Hufferd....aka The World's Oldest Teenager. Thank You Huff. You will always be missed.

I am tempted to say that I can't possibly say how much this man blessed my life, but for the man who taught me so much about the power of ideas and language, I'll try. Three decades have passed since I met Mr. Hufferd and he still influences my life. Some teachers pass on knowledge. Others pass on an entire rubric of how to learn, keep on learning and love the process. Huff was just such a teacher. He loved empowering the underdog, so much so that he made you feel like the big dogs never...

I can't express my sympathies to the Hufferd family. I can't even count how many life lessons he taught me over the past 30 years. He was an example in every sense of the word.

My condolences to the Hufferd family. Mr. Hufferd 's classes were some of the few I truly enjoyed attending. Music class and Mr. Hufferd's classes kept me attending school my last semester before graduation. I could have graduated early, but I loved the Senior Film Class and, decided to stay. Thanks Mr. Huffed for being such a great and positive influence, and liking kids so much. It is a little sad to know you are not walking around in the world any longer. I hope that you are now walking...

In 1981, I was a low-achieving, just do the minimum, get by with as little work as possible student. I was enrolled in John Hufferd's speech class. After a few weeks of class, Mr. Hufferd, the school speech and debate team coach, asked me to join. I absolutely refused, I had no intention of working that hard. He persisted over a number of weeks, telling me that I could be competitive in contests. No, thanks, old man was my attitude. One evening, I was sitting at home, watching TV with my...

my wife and I are very grateful for the dedication he had as a teacher and mentor to our son William Wallace Jr. It was his effort that encouraged Bill to become an English teacher and now a Vice Principal.

Please accept our heart felt condolences to your family for your loss.

RIP Mr. Hufferd. John, Jr. and Family may you find peace in your time of loss. Sorry I am unable to attend. My thoughts will be with you while I attend another Memorial Servie.

It is a special pleasure to have had the good fortune to know you, even though we were close a very long time ago. You always made me feel welcome in your lovely home, like I was part of your sweet family, way back when I was Johnny's high school/junior college girlfriend. I can recall having so much fun watching sporting events on TV with all of you in your warm and friendly den, many years ago. Your honorable passion for teaching positively influenced me to enjoy the profession for 37 years...

Mr. Hufferd is and was a one of a kind man. To compare him to an ordinary man will sell him short. He was not only a Biological Father to Three Sons and One Daughter... but a Father to Hundreds of his Students. Being an HTK (Hufferd Taught Kid) is an honor and privilege that I am very proud to Obtain. It is that miracle in life that draws you by chance to be his student. You elect the course but you never knew you found a destiny you never knew you would have. Mr. Hufferd saved all of us. His...
