My Dad Robert Martin worked with John's Dad at Indiana Motor Bus Co. in Logansport, IN, Our families got together often. John even attended my sister's Senior Prom with her as a family friend. She always appreciated his kindness for doing that. We lost touch after all of us grew up and went off to college, etc. Rest in peace, John. You are reunited with your and our parents.

John - I think about you everday when passing the guard station. I miss our talks. A special thank to Kim and Justin for giving Shibo and Mr. Blackie loving homes. We all know how much you loved those two kids......

I remember cousin John when we were children, he and his parents would come from Logansport, Indiana, to Gowrie, Iowa so his dad, Willam Hunter, could visit his sister, my mother, Margaret Hunter Piltingsrud. We didn't see each other very often, but was exciting to see John. Then he grew up and moved even farther away. Still, he stayed connected with his Iowa relatives mainly through our Uncle, Ivan Hunter, now deceased also. I'm sorry he left so suddenly, but glad he did not suffer a...

John,I remember visiting Uncle Bill,Aunt Velma and you and your lovely Basset Hound, whose name escapes me. We really appreciated you coming such a long way to mom's funeral, sorry we never got to Arizona to visit. May happy times ease the pain of friends and family who miss you. Rest in Peace John. My sympathies go out to the Hunter Family, I had the pleasure to work with John at the Tribune back in 2004 and he always made the day go by easier....he will be missed and I know the man above has received a golden angel with John coming home.....RIP John, Sincerely, Linda Torres
