It is with great sadness that we learned of John´s passing. John, you will be missed. You were, above all, a kind man, guided daily by the tenets of your faith. You were a proud "Rusyn," and I will never forget your license plate: Ja Rusyn (I am a Rusyn). I will remember the many times we talked about your heritage, and I will always have in my mind the beautiful sound of your voice when you spoke the Carpatho-Rusyn language, a skill that only a very small handful of descendants still possess...

We offer our deepest sympathy to John's family. For many years, he was a familiar figure and faithful volunteer at our Annual Pilgrimage in honor of Our Mother of Perpetual Help.
