Heartfelt condolences to the family. May God give your heart peace and comfort.

There is a hole in my heart, Father John. Your spiritual advice and guidance helped me through a very difficult time in my life. I miss you dearly.

May Father John Rest In Peace.

I team taught with John at Seneca College in 1973. He and his wife Dixie made me feel at home at Seneca and Toronto, He introduced me to Greek wines, Greek restaurants in Toronto and Dixie's cooking. He was a man full of life and unsurpassed energy. I and my wallet are just glad he had so many professional distractions that his time at the poker table was brief. He was a joy to be around and a fertile mind in the classroom. I can only imagine his success as a man of the church but he...

The passing of Father John takes away the joy and emotional security that only he was able to offer to so many people, including myself. Father John spotted me in the well-attended All Saints community of the early 2000s, when he generously put my name forward for a fellowship for graduate studies. I remember Fr. John as being a very generous, caring and engaging person. He was instrumental in helping our parish of St. Silouan's in Toronto after leaving All Saints GOC. Under his endeavours, our parish raised enough money to have the icons written for the walls in the chapel at St. John's and we prayed our first full set of Holy Week services. He seemed to have a way of getting people to expect more of themselves and their lives in Christ. May his memory be eternal.

I grew up with Father John as our priest at All Saints , and I will never forget his love for the children of the church. He was there to counsel me as a youth and young adult, and was even the one who held the marriage classes and individual couple meetings with my husband and I. He was an amazing speaker who inspired us to believe in our Lord Jesus and be kind, loving and accepting to and of all. He was an incredible role model and I am so blessed to have known him. I send my deepest...

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
