Not sure what to say?

Over the years since John was one of my political science classmates at Whitman in the early '60s, I've frequently recalled, with a smile and sometimes a big laugh, while recalling his observations and comments. I've also read some of his publications. His Ecology of Devistation book remains on my bookshelf and is remembered among scholars of the US war in Vietnam. I regret not keeping in personal contact with John since Whitman days but I never forgot him and never will.

Love to all.

Our deepest condolences to the entire Lewallen clan. What an extraordinary man this world has lost. His legacy lives on through his writings, his activism, and his family. May his memory be for a blessing.

Fly High John. You will be missed

Much love
