Not sure what to say?

I just learned the news of John's passing. I met him at his wife when I had the pleasure of coaching his son Chris and will always remember his caring attitude and the positive spirit he expressed. Although I find myself in Florida my thoughts and prayers will be with the family during this difficult time. Jose Ramirez

I always remember Jack as a upbeat and positive man who truly enjoyed helping others whether it was assisting his fellow educators at Chelmsford by repairing something mechanical such as the copy machine or listening to the personal problem of a student or teacher and offering his support and advice. Being a very empathetic and caring individual endeared him to both his students and his teacher colleagues.

Jack was also a very proud parent and grandparent. On a community level...

I was so sorry to hear about Jack's passing. We taught in the same schools for many years. It is definitely a shock and my thoughts and prayers go out to Pat and their family.

Dear Pat,
I am so sorry to hear of Jack's passing. He holds a very special place in my heart. He was a great teacher and a true gentleman.

I am so sorry for you, for your family and for the many lives that Jack touched. His obituary tells of someone who loved all facets of his life ... I will always remember him as a good, kind, smiling person. Jerry (Wayland High, Class of 1960)

My sincerest condolences to Mr Mahoney's family and friends. He had such an impact as a person and a teacher. I thoroughly enjoyed having him as a teacher and I've never forgotten him. God Bless...

I'm shocked and saddened to read of Mr. Mahoney's passing. Though my "math house" wouldn't have withstood a New England Winter, it's one of the few projects I still remember 28 years later. But even more than math class I enjoyed the times Mr. and Mrs. Mahoney would visit the 99 Restaurant in Westford when I was working there. I got to see the non-teacher, "human" side of him and looked forward to their visits.

With sincere condolences and sympathy,

Mr. Mahoney was one of my favorite teachers at McCarthy. I am sorry for your loss. He was a great man and truly had a passion for his profession. Cristy (Davidson) Rosenhahn CHS class of 1989.
