John J. Marisic

I was so saddened when I heard of John’s passing. To the family what a great man to have been blessed with in your life. You cannot replace a John Marisic, but he was the type of man that leaves his imprint and influence with his family, friends and co-workers for years, and in that I hope you find comfort in this time of sorrow. I was surprised and very distressed to learn of John's death.
At the college's annual Christmas luncheon I heard for the first time that he was ill.
We were away on a cruise to the Virgin Islands when his death occurred . . .
I did receive a notice from the college regarding his death and the memorial celebration planned on 1/24/10.
I plan to be there . . . to support my old running buddy . . . and his family.
John's death leaves me sad, pensive, and...

To the Marisic family,

I had the pleasure of meeting John while working for PSECU many, many years ago. He was a quiet, dignified man that always had a smile and a friendly greeting for everyone. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Heavens gain is our loss.

John Jr was my cousin as our mothers were sisters. My mother was his Godmother and she loved him dearly.
I was fortunate to have been able to share a special time with John while he was recovering from injuries sustained in the Viet Nam war. He spent every weekend on leave from the hospital with me and my late husband, Michael. It was not unusual to engage in deep philosophical discussions well into the night. I still can recall snip-its of those interactions as if it were yesterday....

John was such a breathe of fresh air and I always looked forward to running into him at Credit Union events around Pennsylvania and DC. He was a great man who I exchanged many an enjoyable conversation. I will miss him.

John M a man of few words. A man remembered as a peace maker kind gentle and to the point. It was an honor working with him during the golden growth days of PSECU. The Marisic family is right to be proud and remains in our prayers.

A man so gentle in spirit, a man so humble, a man so knowledgeable, a man always there to help............. Where does one stop describing our dear friend, John Marisic?

In the few short years that I have known John through his involvement with the Mount Gretna Area Historical Society, he has impressed me as an ideal person to be a Trustee of our organization. We will miss him greatly.

We extend our sympathy and prayers for his family in this time of loss.
