Not sure what to say?

It was with great sadness that I just learned from George McNeil, his medical school classmate, of Steve's untimely death. As one of his teachers in physical diagnosis in 1969, I still remember his great potential as a future physician, which he lived up to and surpassed. The medical community has lost one of its finest members.

I just saw it in the P&S alumni magazine and am so sorry. Linda and I send our condolences to you and the family.

Linda,
I was looking at the P$S news and saw of Steve's death, I am so very sorry, he was very special and will be missed by all who knew him. I am grateful I got to spend time with you in Atlanta a few years ago.

Dear Linda,
Please accept my condolences on Steve's passing. In my interaction with him he was always a quiet man, who without a lot of words showed he was a leader.
I wish for peace and happy memories for you and your family.

So glad to have seen Steve after so many years when in Atlanta last month. So many memories of this kind man. He was such an inspiration in my life and career; all the happy memories of vacations with the kids, and dinners together with Linda. I have been blessed to have known him. I wish I could be with you tomorrow. We will keep him in hearts forever.

Offering my deepest condolences to the McDougal family, may God grant you strength and courage as you face the coming days.
