JOHN was a gentleman. He and his beautiful wife Peg stretched out their arms out to welcome Irish Teachers to the Valley over four decades and helped to make life long connections, friendships and exchanges that we ever and always treasure. It was a perfect partnership. His grace and style live on and his outreach is fondly remembered. Our Sincere Sympathies. Dear McKeown family,
I have wonderful memories of John & Peg. We were I involved in the Irish Teachers Program with them and spent many fun times together. They were a wonderful couple. Rest in peace John.

I go back to the 50's as a young boy whose Dad also was employed at the VA Hospital. I met Mr. McKeown many times over the years. Very cordial man and my Dad thought highly of him. On behalf of my Dad and our family, I want to express my condolences to the McKeown family. May he RIP.

Dear McKeown Family,
John was a true gentleman and a fine example of living your faith. I always enjoyed talking to him and your mother. They did a great job with the Irish teacher's program. My friends and I always enjoyed being dinner hosts. He gave 100%
plus in any role he was asked to undertake.Please accept my sympathy on your loss.

One than once I'd be at wake viewing line with John and he'd always be so helpful pointing out all the who's who in attendance. My maternal ancestors had a house next door to him and his were the only McKeowns I ever knew not related to us. God give him heaven.

John was a great man. I will never forget him or that big smile he would get when I would tell him how handsome he was.
I believe we are all better people for having known him.

There was no finer man. Whoever invented the
word "class" had John in mind. Will always be remembered by everyone.
