John Hayden Morgan

Shreveport - John Hayden Morgan, age 54, died peacefully at home on Monday, November 4, 2019. A memorial service will begin at 10:00 am on Monday, November 11, 2019, at The Cathedral of St. John Berchmans in the St. Michael the Archangel Chapel. Officiating will be Reverend Duane Trombetta.

Hayden was a beloved son of Dr. and Mrs. E. Raymond Morgan, born in Shreveport, Louisiana on July 23, 1965. He graduated from St. John Berchmans Cathedral School, Jesuit High School, and Southwestern Louisiana, now University of Louisiana in Lafayette. Hayden was a proud member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon where he served as Chapter President. He was employed for years with Music Mountain Water as Marketing Manager and was awarded Employee of the Year for his innovative service.

Hayden was predeceased by his parents, Dr. Edward Raymond Morgan and Norma Catherine Tucker Morgan; his brother, Herbert Tucker Morgan; and his grandparents, Norma Mangin Tucker, and Herbert deNelle Tucker, The Honorable Edward LLewellyn Morgan and Marie Hahn Morgan. He is survived by his sons, who were the source of his greatest pride and joy, Hayden Tucker Morgan and John Peyton Morgan; his brother, Dr. Edward Lawrence Morgan and wife, Mary Pat; and his sister, Clare Morgan Nelson and husband, George. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, George Dalman Nelson, III, Catherine Tucker Nelson, Dr. Morgan Nelson Shaughnessy and husband, Dr. John Shaughnessy, III, Spencer Reynolds Nelson, Mary Minette Morgan, Alexandra deNelle Morgan, and Miranda Tucker Morgan; one grandniece, Elizabeth Clare Shaughnessy; and numerous close cousins.

Hayden's family is grateful for the years of compassion and friendship shared by his devoted neighbors, Barbara and Ted Cox and Diane and Bill Valentine, and loyal friend Curtis Dawson. In lieu of flowers, his family requests memorials be made to Loyola College Prep, 921 Jordan Street, Shreveport, LA 71101.
