John W. Morse, 48, of Liscomb, died early Friday morning, January 3rd, at the Eldora Nursing and Rehab Center.
A memorial gathering and celebration complete with barbeque, memories and perhaps even blowing stuff up will be held on Memorial Day weekend this year at his acreage. Born John William Morse on November 16th, 1965, in Iowa City, Iowa, he was one of four children born to Charles Donald and Sara Lou (Chinburg) Morse. He attended school in Charles City and Cedar Falls. John was employed in many careers, but most would remember him as a devoted truck driver.
Left to cherish his memory are his siblings- Tom Morse, Cathy DuVall and Donna Schwake as well as his nieces and nephews.
In death, he rejoined his parents.

C u cuz we always did weird stuff growing up no more pain rip cuz

With deepest sympathy, we send our love in this time of sadness to John's family. Although there isn't much that can be said to ease your pain, wanted you all to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. Praying that God gives you all comfort during this time and that you can feel peace- the peace that only the Lord can give us.

John always spoke so highly of a nephew that would come and stay with him at his place and help him out- want to say "thank you" to that...

I am so sorry Donna to hear of John's passing. He was a good friend to George & I. I am glad I got to know him in the last 6 years!!!! We had fun going to visit his place and enjoy being out in the open. It was so quiet out there!! We enjoyed going with John on the semi this past summer to Chicago and we had more fun stoppint at the 'World's Largest Truck Stop'...George really loved it when John gave him a bicycle this past summer! My life was richer for having met John. I will miss our talks and his passion for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness while living life on his terms. One heck of a guy!

Donna and family, we are so sorry to hear of John's passing. The sorrow is there, but also the joy of knowing he is with your Mom and he isn't suffering anymore...and you will see him again one day in Heaven. May you look to God for comfort from your grief. John, iam saddened to have to hear of ur passing. Iam so lost now that ur not alive so i can't come take care of u like we had discussed!
