JOHN BARTLETT MORSE

John (and Virginia) were the best of longstanding neighbors on Durham St. here in Boston. John was actively involved in our neighborhood association in the early days of its formation and played a significant role in making the St Botolph neighborhood the attractive and welcoming place it has become. We are hugely indebted to the pioneering investment folks like John and Virginia have made in helping build a sense of community and commitment to our urban enclave.

We will miss you, John. I especially remember your generosity and willingness to help others, for example helping my parents with the construction of a new bathroom. I loved your willingness to share your encyclopedic knowledge of Boston and the Back Bay, which you helped to rejuvenate with me.
