Dear Carol, Frank and I were so sad to hear about John´s passing and send heartfelt condolences to you and your family. John was certainly a special person who accomplished so much and gave much to his community, besides being a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He will be sorely missed.

Dear CarolAnn and family, our sincerest sympathy on the passing of your husband, father, grandfather, uncle. My sister and I have fond memories growing up as children in our mother's (Elizabeth) large Lanshe family with with Aunt Justine and Uncle Andrew et al. We were happy to reconnect more recently as adults with John at cousin Ruth´s funeral at the monastery. We will be thinking of you all in the coming days.

To my dear first cousin, Carol and her lovely family, I came to meet John in 1963 in a philosophy class at St. Mary of the Plains where I was a freshman as well as John. I remember him to be handsome, more mature than the typical freshman guy; plus, smart, fun and with a great smile.
