John Joseph Polidori

John J. Polidori, 81, of New Britain, passed away July 26, 2015, at home, following a brief illness. He was born in New Britain, a son of the late Vincenzo and Antonia Polidori. He was a US Army Veteran, proudly serving his country from 1954-1956. He worked with his brothers in the Charles Polidori Construction Co., and subsequently owned Newington Auto Parts with his brothers, then Jo-John Enterprises in Newington. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Dolores (Frazzetta) Polidori. He is survived by his two daughters Susan Bordonaro and her husband Salvatore of Berlin and Kathy Gilbert and her husband Donald of Derry, NH and three grandsons, David and Steven Bordonaro and Michael Gilbert. In addition to his wife he was predeceased by his mother in law Constance (Paluso) Frazzetta and his brothers Delmo, Charles and Joseph. Funeral services will be Wed., July 29, 11:30AM, at the New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Avenue, burial will follow in Saint Mary Cemetery, both in New Britain. Visiting hours on Wed. will precede the service from 10-11:30AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
