Plainfield - Mr. John Provenzano, 71 passed away on September 30, 2020 at JFK Medical Center in Edison, NJ. John was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey and lived in Newark and Plainfield for the past 20 years. He was a 1967 Woodbridge High School Graduate. John was the founder of the Richie Knight and Chessman Band from 1964 - 1966. He played guitar with Sam the Sham and Pharaohs from 1966-1970. He loved playing all kinds of Instruments . He enjoyed writing music, books and teaching music.
He is predeceased by his mother and father, Rose and Gustave Provenzano, four brothers, Anthony, James, Thomas and Gastave, a sister, Ann Marie Provenzano. John is survived by a brother, Andrew and his wife Karma Provenzano. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and griend.
All Services will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the family.
