I just turned 70 and my Dr. of 40 years just sadly retired. I am writing him a letter thanking him for his terrific care. While doing so I am telling him he reminds me in so many ways of Dr. Richards. He was our beloved family Dr. in Fort Worth from around 1960 until 1996 when my parents moved to West Texas. My brother and me called him our Dr. until we moved from Ft. Worth after college. I came back here to remember him and read his obituary again. Your are still thought of and missed.

Thinking of you often, and with love. You are so missed. Tawnya Gary

I miss you so much! I think of you often, and I wish I knew someone as wonderful as you were. You were the best! Love, always Tawnya

The lives of the Watkins family will be forever impacted by our beloved Dr.Richards. He is quoted often, and his treatment and advice is woven into the fabric of our lives. God blessed us with a wonderful friend. If I impact even one person the way Dr. Richards impacted me I will feel that I have in some small way paid tribute to him. Thank you for the opportunity to express my love for a wonderful man.

To Dr. Richards' Family, I must tell you how very sorry I was to hear of his passing. I sincerely extend most sincere sympathies.

Years ago, the finest Doctor I ever had, helped me cope physically thru a traumatic and heartbreaking time of my life. Without him and his kindness, I don't think I would have even had the courage to go forward.

What a very special person, and fine Doctor he was. He will be deeply missed.

What a special man; what a special friend. I have so many memories of this kind and wise man -- many of which involve that look over his glasses as he was reinforcing his instructions after I questioned him. During a particularly rough time in my life, he called me one day and invited me to his house. He said he had seen that I was okay physically but wanted to make sure I was okay emotionally and mentally. He asked me questions about my son (then my favorite subject) and my family, and...

Like many others, PaPa was my adopted Grandfather. He was such a powerful influence in my life, few others have made such an impact. My family lived across the street from PaPa and he was my "go to guy" for all of life advice. My favorite memory of PaPa was running into him, frequently, at the mall while he was power-walking. He was such a hoot!! I will cherish and reflect on our special friendship for the rest of my life. His loving and kind spirit will always travel with me.

This world is short one great man and Doctor. You don't meet very many people like Dr. Richards in your lifetime and we are very fortunate to have known him. He was our family doctor for over 50 years. He was there for my grandmother, Mable Bain, my mother, Patricia Spitz Erwin, and for myself. He brought my brother (Todd Spitz) into this world in 1960 and me in 1964. Dr. Richards was our role model and hero. He will be missed greatly. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and...
