Even though I wasnt yours by blood, I was yours by heart. You didnt have to adopt this little girl into your life when you met Mom, but you did. You raised me as your own and never once acted as if I wasnt yours. You sat me in your lap when I was barely 10 and let me steer the van while you drove. I can't begin to express the sadness I have because of this loss. John was more than a mentor and more than a coach, he was a great, great friend.
