John T. Spencer, a resident of North Reading for 6 years, passed away on April 16, 2017. He was 65 years of age. John was born in Malden, Massachusetts on September 1, 1951 the son of James W. and Joyce (Stamatopoulos) Spencer. John was a self employed entrepreneur and started up several small business's in the local area. He loved to watch football and car racing. He was the beloved husband of Donna (Cerasuolo) Spencer. Devoted father of Kelly Fitzgerald and her husband Michael of Reading and Michael Spencer and his wife Donna L. of N. Reading. Cherished brother of Paul D. Spencer of Tewksbury, James C. Spencer of Peabody and the late Robert J. Spencer. Loving grandfather of Dylan, Ryan, Danny and Riley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 21 at St. Athanasius Church 300 Haverhill St., Reading at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in North Reading. A visitation will be held prior to the Mass at the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.) Reading from 9:00-10:00am. To Donna, Mike and KellySo sorry and sad to hear about John.....I only have fun memories of him and wish we saw more of each otherIn these past years. I will miss him dearly and feel badly that my kids didn't get to know him as I did. My heart goes out to all of you and Mike Fitz and Donna.
