We feel Jack's presence still, after six years since his passing. He is in our memories and in our hearts; present in spirit when we need a friend.

Four years is a long time to miss Jack's presence on this earth. And yet, to me and his closest friends he has still been with us in so many ways every day since he passed. His remembered kindnesses are gifts to us we carry forward. The places where he touched our lives have made us better people, hopefully continuing a legacy of thoughtfulness and love. When we see something that's wonderful, we can almost hear Jack say: "Beauty!"

I can't believe that Jack has been gone for over a year now. There isn't a day that passes by that I do not miss him. He meant so much to our family. He wasn't a blood relative. He was more. I will always remember his infectious laugh, his scratchy cheek kisses, his sense of humor, and his heart. He loved hard and unconditionally. I never had to wonder if Jack loved me or was proud of me- and I still don't. I know he is with me and my family every single day and I can't express how much he...

Jack, my dear and loving brother will always be remebered for his kindnesss, caring and deep love. He taught me to skate, box, shoot hoops, type, draw and appreciate the arts.. He nurtured my love for animals. He set an example for integrity and honesty. He could be hilarious! He will always be part of my life.

Ever since i was a little kid, Jack was an "adopted" member of our family and was part of many of our Christmas and 4th of July celebrations, always making sure he commented on how great the food was! To most he was known as "Jack", but to me and my family he will always be remembered as "Grasshopper." He had one of the most infectious laughs ever, and he could always find our family get together's entertaining. Godspeed Grasshopper.

Jack Szabo also known to us as Uncle Jack, so many memories have been made over the years, he was part of our life and our children's. Between fishing, bow hunter festivals, Revenna Arsenal shoots, many Octobers spent in Cook Forest hunting and watching the World Series over the years. He will also be remembered for his unique infectious laugh. Our condolences go out to family and friends he will be deeply missed.

So sorry for your loss. John was a great guy, and neighbor. I met him 4 years ago when he stopped to introduce himself, after seeing me shooting my bow in the yard. He proceeded to introduce me to traditional archery, along with teaching me to make my own arrows. I will always have found memories of the hunting stories that he shared with me.

It seems like it was only yesterday (01/29/69) when I started my apprenticeship as a printer at the Plain Dealer. He loved bow hunting and always vacationed around deer hunting season. May God have your deer stand ready for you. His spirits were always joyful. RIP from a fellow Magyar.
