Not sure what to say?

Dear Joan and family, how we will miss him! He was such a wonderful colleague and friend at Union Seminary--cheerful in his faith, brave in his physical struggles, with a great heart for everybody who met him. I fondly remember the X-mas carol singings at your house, his love for the combination of literature and theology, his care for theological education worldwide (he also held an honorable doctorate from Montpellier in France), his concern for the local community (regularly even cleaning...

He really let his light shine, didn't he? To the far corners of the globe. Well done.

I am very sorry to hear that a very wonderful man has passed away. Both he and his wife were warm and loving parents with delightful children who were so much fun to teach during my years at Henderson MS and at Richmond Community HS. You have my deepest sympathy.

John was a mentor to all who worked with him, but he was so much more than that. He was a cherished friend and all around wonderful human being. He will be so greatly missed!

Joan, Beth, Meg, Michael and family, we rejoice with you that John has ceased his struggles and is in the presence of his Lord whom he faithfully served all his life.
Sang-il, Sae Hee (Paul), and June Farmer Lee, Altavista, VA, and Monterey, CA

Such a great father & member of the community...Love and care to the whole Trotti family & friends in their grief.

Meg, Rob, Ian & Colt-

May much love and sweet memories comfort you,

With love,
Ron, Joey, Michael & Ben

Joan and family,

We can all take heart in the certainty John is in the company of the Lord.
