John Twomey Jr

John Twomey was a great man, a great friend, a great family man, and a great public servant. Having known him for 41 years, since we were both 18 or so, and plebes at West Point, I can honestly say I've met few like him, and have treasured his friendship. John was one of those rare men with the natural ability to be a friend to all. His was a towering intellect, with a wit to match. He will be missed. Go with God, brother.

What a magnificent and accomplished man my brother "JJ" was. As his little sister, I can tell you he was a tough act to follow! My heart aches that he was taken from Ulrike, Alessa, and the world much too soon. We have lost a true scholar and gentleman. May he rest in peace, and may Ulrike find some comfort in the memories of happy times shared through almost thirty-four years of marriage.
