Not sure what to say?

My deepest sympathy to the family and friends of John. I was John's secretary in Brooklyn and he was a joy to work with. He loved to play jokes and he was always there to help whenever needed. I have many fond memories of John. He was a good man and will be greatly missed.

The loss of someone so close is difficult to bear. I share your grief. Earth hath no sorrow that heaven cannot heal. John will be greatly missed. To the family, my thoughts and prayer are with you all.

I worked with John at Smith Barney at he Brooklyn Army Terminal. He was a wonderful man who loved his family and cared about the people who worked with him. I was going through a bad time, but every morning I would pass his office and stop and say hello and share some of my adventures. One particular morning I was in a bad mood and didn't stop to say good morning, within a few seconds of me getting into my office I heard him walking through the print shop and he told me to come and sit in...

It is a tremendous loss of a wonderful manager, mentor and dear friend.

My memories of John are of a man who loved life and his family. He had a way of making you feel at ease when you were in his company. My big regret is that I never played him in tennis. That would've been very special.
Jim Ziegler's brother, Bernie.

John will always be remembered as
someone who was full of life . He
inspired many of us at Citibank with his positive attitude.

My deepest sympathies go out to the Vandenberg family. John was my Godfather and although we hadn't spoken for many years, I looked forward each year to seeing him and my Godmother Maria each year(with their families) on their Christmas card. It brought back many memories.James,Sharon,Sara &Katy
