Kirk Varnedoe

Time flies. I still think of Train often, there's no one else like him. I encourage people to check out Youtube for some of his interviews and lectures. He reached higher heights than anyone in his profession. He loved Elvis, and he took the time to sign and mail copies of his books to me, even toward the end of his life.

what a sad loss. kirk was simply the most eloquent, articulate person i've ever encountered. he handled his illness with great courage. he'll always be an inspiraton to me.

I remember Kirk from my days as a grad student at Columbia. He was a terror and an inspiration. I hope he is beyond all suffering and enlightening others in the hereafter, if there is one.
