Not sure what to say?

To the Ward Family I'm sorry to hear about the passing of Richard i just learned of it today when i was at the Jack & Jill in Charlottesville he was always a friend to everyone i use to live on Stclair and we all grew up togeather i lost my brothers Ronnie & Larry Brown in 1996 & 1999 & never had a chance to see him since as we all have grown older & apart from each other you don't find out these things until after the fact i know he is in a wonderful place as my brothers...

It can be so hard to face the first year without your loved one, but the love of family and friends can carry you through.

Thank you to everyone. My father was a great man and we miss him greatly. Myself and my mother Gloria appreciate all that everyone has done and for being there for us. My dad fought a good fight and was so strong. He will always be loved and his memory will on with us.
thank you,
Brandie Morris and Gloria Ward

We want to take a monent to thank all of you who left the beautiful messages. Richard loved the Charlottesville Police Department and the people he worked with.
As his sisters we will miss him greatly.

God Bless America !

Sorry for your lost. My prays will be for the family.

To Richard's family...I met Richard when I came to spend the summer with aunt Ginny 40 years ago and meet the east coast cousins. We were out at aunt Edna's for a family gathering. I have a photo of him shooting with the guys out in the back 40. I was sorry to hear of his passing and our prayers are with you all. Aunt Ginny remembers him fondly.

Sergeant Ward will always be known and respected in the Law Enforcement Community for his integrity and leadership. ACPD 3 Retired

A wonderful man and fine policeman.
