John Wright Jr. Obituary

John R. "Johnny" Wright Jr., 50, served for more than 30 years in the funeral service industry. He was a Funeral Director and the Vice President of Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home.

Johnny was a native of Jackson, Mississippi. He attended Murrah High School and was a graduate of Manhattan High School. He also attended Delta State University.

He died on Friday, August 25, 2000, from complications of a stroke.

Johnny was loved by many and will be particularly missed by his dog, Ben, and the residents of the Greenbriar Place subdivision, who called him "the mayor."

He is survived by his father, John R. Wright Sr. of Jackson; Tom and Nancy Wright of Jackson, Ellis and Jamie Wright of Jackson; his two nieces; and numerous cousins.
