Not sure what to say?

Sargent Joseph A. Richard is at Peace, standing beside Jesus, completely understand all of God's mysterious ways. He earned Angel wings and will always be at your side. May God grant you understanding and comfort.

Sgt. Richard was one of the first friends I made after being assigned to ft. Polk as a young specialist. We were not in the same company, but I watched over many of his missions in Baghdad during his last tour.

He was a great man and his loss was the first time I cried as a soldier. I will never forget the jokes and smiles we shared or the loss I felt when I knew it was him we lost that day.

I wish I could have done more, served better, to save my friend,
I cannot...

Mr. And Mrs. Richard, my deepest sympathy goes out to all of the family. It has been awhile since i had seen him but i heard he was fighting over seas. It gave me such pride to know one of our boys was over there making a difference. My prayers go out to ya'll and all the family, i am so sorry for your loss.

Thinking of you && how brave you were .. Your such a hero in so many ways !!! Love and miss you

To the family of Sgt. Joesph A. Richard, I did not know him, however, I will forever be thankful for his service to our country. He is a hero and will never be forgotten. I am so sorry for your loss, God certainly must have needed another soldier angel, to carry others home. He is in the arms of angels now, I pray that somehow this helps in your sorrow. although having children myself, I know these mere words cannot take away your pain or loss... God Bless you all.

I will never forget your bravery and sacrificing your life for the freedom of our country. You are my hero and you will always be in my heart and in my thoughts. You will never be forgotten. I love you my sweet cousin. RIP Lil Joe<3

To the family and friends of Sgt. Joseph A. Richard:
