Joe Bacarella was one of my first bosses in broadcasting. He was one of the finest mentors I ever had. He is a broadcast legend in the Detroit area. My condolences to his family!

I will miss Joe's wonderful sense of humor. My husband and I became friends with Joe about five years ago I am so sorry to see it end. We would often go out to breakfast after Mass and he would talk about his children and grandchildren he certainly was proud of his family.
Joe was never one to talk about all of his accomplishments he was just interested in what was going on in our lives.

Joe's absence leaves a huge hole in many lives. I can't imagine how Paula and Joe Jr. feel...and his grandkids. Don Guido Bacarella (as we who worked for him called him) filled up any room he entered. Not with just his voice or size or handsomeness but his goodness. I can't believe he's gone. However, my wife Carla said that at least now, he's with Sarah.

Joe, so many people loved you so much. You touched a lot of lives and you will be thought of warmly and daily for the rest...
