The Brogan Family

Dear Mary Lou, Michelle & Jeremy, John & Matthew:

I was saddened to learn of the death of your dear husband and father, Joseph Brogan. I amd my brother Tom, LSU, 1970, knew him through the Honors Center. At times such as these, words are unable to carry the full message of comfort and consolation which we want them to bear, but they are all...

I cannot write anything other than my sincerest condolences for your loss.

Joe Brogan was more than a professor to me, he was a mentor, a guide, and a role model. I am proud to say that I am a teacher today because of the lessons I learned in his classes, and my only wish is to inspire my students half as much as Dr. Brogan inspired me.

Sincerely,

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Farina

Tom, Cathy: I was so saddened to hear of Joe's death at such a young age. I can remember like yesterday Johnny's death and how your Mom and Dad and the family had to endure that. Now you must once again endure the lost of your sibling. My condolences also to Joe's family. You and them shall be in my prayers.

Mary Lou, Katie let us know of Joe's death. Gerry and I are so sorry. He was a lovely man. We especially remember all the support he provided Joanne and the kids after Pat's death and the support he also gave to Gerry and Joanne's mom, Helen. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the children.

Dear MaryLou, Michelle, John & Matt,

I am so saddened by the loss of Mr. Brogan. He was one of the staples on Columbia Avenue. Always a kind soul and someone us kids could look up to.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear MaryLou, Michelle, John, Matt, & Jeremy,

Our hearts are with you all.

What a wonderful friend Joe was to all of the Devlins! He was always there when we needed him - to chase a mouse, change an air-conditioner, or just to sit and let us talk. We know that he and Patrick are now together talking politics.

Joe will always to be in our prayers as will you all.

Love from us all --
Joanne, Ted, Patrick, Kim, Katie, Dan, Bren & Kathy.

Dear Mary Lou, Michelle, John, & Matt,

Thank you for sharing your beloved Joe with me. He was an unexpected and precious gift in my life.

I carry each of you in my heart as you bear the grief of Joe's passing. I pray that, in time, the tangible yet immeasurable love and care he had for you ease the pain and provide comfort.
