To the Family, it was my pleasure working with Mr & Mrs Cooke back in the early 80's when they owned the store Oak Ave Confec.(25th & Oak) He will truly be missed by everyone he came in contact with. My Prayers are with you at this time.

I was privileged to meet Mr. Cooke as he was a friend of my late husband James Lewis Jackson "Brother". He was a nice man and a gentleman. He will be missed. God bless you.

To the Cooke Family, Our prays are with you doing your time of sorrow. I remember Mr. Cooke as well as a little girl walking to 25th & Oak to get a hot dog and some ice cream. Mr. Cooke was a Blessing to many families in Newport News. May God Bless You All.

Mr. Cooke was a lovely person, I remember him from a little girl. May god bless his family and may his memory live on. I will always miss his famous bbg sandwiches and his beautiful smile. RIP Mr. Cooke, I feel special to have met you.
