Not sure what to say?

Still in shock and utter disbelief. I can't believe I will not see my neighbor Joe outside anymore in the dead of winter in his shorts working around the house. I can't believe I will not be able to stop to talk to him for 5 minutes (that always turned into 45 minutes) anymore. His love of family and country was undeniable. My sincere condolences to Yolanda and the entire Curran Family. Rest in Peace my friend, you will be missed.

So sorry to hear of Joes passing. I worked with him the original Tactical Force. Good cop, great guy.

Sorry to hear of Joes passing. We worked together in the original Tactical Force in Newark.

Sad news hearing of Joe's passng. He was one of Newark Police Department's finest. Fearless, intelligent and hard working, you could always depend on Joe to be there when needed. When you get to heaven Joe, say hello to Ciro. My heartfelt condolences to the Curran family. May Joseph rest in God's peace.

Knew Joe back in the 60's when his first love was his 1964 Burgundy GTO and we then worked together in the West District he in 412 and me in 414 cars. Great cop and even better guy. May he Rest In Peace...

My sincere condolences to Joe's family. Joe was my classmate in the police academy in 1967, and I worked with him for many years with the NPD. I can truly say that he was a "cop's cop". His dedication to duty and the people of Newark were exemplary and a motivation to all those he worked with. He risked his life for others on many occasions and he was the recipient of many awards.
Rest in Peace, Brother
