Not sure what to say?

I just want your family to know…his memory lives on in so many of us, his past students. I think of him ALL the time. When I work in my yard I flash on memories of him and our class so often. I would not take Biology, so he was my Horticulture teacher every year. As a graduate of 1974 I was able to do that back then, so I really got to know and enjoy this teacher as a wonderful, funny, and intelligent man. We all loved his class. I am sorry for your loss….and I will not forget him.

Oh Mr. "D " How you will be missed! From the Biology Lab to learning about Horticulture and to continue developing a real interest in beauty and life. I will never forget in your teachings. Class of "73" Rest in peace!

He was my biology teacher and because of him, I love science to this day. We have lost a great man.
Jeff Havlin, Class of 1965

So sorry for your families lose! Joe Dichtl was the best of the best when it came to teaching kids about nature. He was my favorite teacher at WCCHS back in the sixties. I will never forget him.

Dear Edith,
I am planning a trip to the Keys with my daughter Sieglind. We knew you lived down there and decided to look up your name. I was very sad to find Joe's obituary. It brought back many memories of Warrenville and Joe, Reiner, Eric playing together. I hope you are well and maybe one day we will meet again. My regards to the family.

I am so very sorry that I missed speaking with Joseph before he died. It was on my list of things to do soon. Joseph is my cousin on my father's side of the family. I am the DICHTL Family Genealogist. If any family members have a question regarding the family history, I will gladly respond. Edith, I share in your sorrow.
