I graduated from Grovertown and watched Joe play basketball. I later played on Joe's independent baseball team. Joe organized and raised money for our uniforms. I did realize all that he accomplished in his lifetime. Great job Joe.

I graduated from Grovertown High School and was lucky enough to know Joe. I watched him play basketball and I played on his independent baseball team that he started and raised the money for our uniforms. I did not realize all that he accomplished until I read his obituary. Great job Joe.

Joseph lived across the hall from my apartment. While I met him only once, I was impressed to learn how God used his good works to touch the lives of so many, both in his family and so many outside. That he wanted to be remembered for his faith in Jesus Christ certainly gave purpose to his life, and my prayer is that Glenya and extended family will find comfort in Psalm 116:15: "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints."

We have such wonderful memories of times spent with Joe and Glenya, both when we lived in Michigan and after moving to Ft. Myers, FL. Joe's love of life and for winning souls are among our fondest memories. Truly God has welcomed him into His loving arms.

I will always remember Joe's wonderful sense of humor. I'm glad Michelle and I were fortunate to visit with Joe and Glenya while on a trip to FL in 2018. For fun I told him we were seeking donations for the Hilary 2020 campaign; he invited us in anyway (or maybe it was Glenya who let us come in .) It was wonderful to visit with both and enjoy their graciousness, wisdom and wit, just as it was in the years of the Davis reunions.
