Not sure what to say?

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many NMSU graduates in JORDAN are with you at this time of sorrow. My dear Professor, may your soul RIP.

Our sympathies are with the Genin family. Dr. Genin was a dedicated individual that positively contributed to the lives of many great engineers. He will be missed by many former students, colleagues, and friends.

Faculty and Staff in the College of Engineering at NMSU

At age 16, I had 1 year of elgibility to play Babe Ruth Baseball in West Lafayette, IN in the early 70's. Joe, as he demanded to be called, asked me to help him coach his team in the following years. This man is one I never forgot as I near my 60's today. With due respect to the Genin family.

Dr. Genin believed in me more than I believed in myself. He was a great mentor. And most important to me, a living example of humility. With such an incredible mind, he never showed arrogance nor superiority to those around him.

I will miss him and feel incredibly blessed to have had my life so richly influenced by him.

I had many instructors throughout my education, but very few Educators. Dr. Genin was tough, but he really cared about his students and the knowledge that he could impart on them. The Engineering education community has lost one of their best members. Dr. Genin was one in a million and will be sorely missed by many. Rest in Peace.

Dr. Genin was a very no-nonsense professor and I had nothing but the highest respect for him and his teaching style. God bless you, sir. You will be dearly missed.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

I knew Dr. Genin as a professor and a mentor who helped me with his knowledge and advices.
