I served on the Castro Valley Little League board with Joe, he was the ultimate giver of his time and talent. Although I haven't seen Joe in many years, I have thought of my "brother from another mother" often. Please know that you are all in my prayers.

All of memories of Uncle Joe are of warmth. There are so many, but one simple memory keeps replaying in my head. He was sixteen, I think, and he was standing in the kitchen doorway at home in LaSalle, hands in his pockets and using the corner to scratch the middle of his back.
