Joseph was born on July 28, 1938 and passed away in November 2017. Joseph was a resident of Shenandoah, Pennsylvania at the time of passing. Smokey was a 1957 graduate of the former West Mahanoy Township High School and an Army veteran, having served from 1958 through 1960. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at Divine Mercy Church, 231 W. Cherry St., Shenandoah. Interment with military honors will follow in Our Lady of Dawn Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.

While residing at Ridgeview, he always had a positive and kind word for all who entered and passed his room. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
